10DLC pricing is now editable in Admin

The fees we charge clients for CampaignVerify, Telnyx Brand registration, and Campaign Review used to be hardcoded. Changing a price meant a code change and a deploy. They are now settings you edit in Admin, with a markup percentage on top that covers payment processing and margin.

What you can change

In Admin, go to Mode Pricing › 10DLC & Verification. You set the base rate for each of the three fees — what Politogy pays the vendor — plus one markup percentage that applies to all of them. The markup defaults to 10%.

The totals update as you type

Change the markup and every total recalculates immediately, so you see what the client will actually be charged before you save. Below, the markup is set to 12.5%.

It drives what clients actually pay

This is not a display-only setting. The same stored values are read when a client’s wallet is debited at submission time, so the price quoted on screen and the amount charged always come from one place. Below is the live client-facing 10DLC screen showing those figures.

A bug this uncovered. The old hardcoded prices existed in two places and had already drifted apart. A change on 6 August raised the markup to 10% on the screen the client sees, but the code that actually debits the wallet was still using the old 3% figures. Clients were being shown $104.50 and charged $97.85. Both now read the same setting, so they cannot disagree again.

Worth knowing

Staging and production are separate. The environment switcher at the top of Admin picks which one you are editing. Changing staging does not touch what clients pay.
Every change is recorded with the email of whoever saved it, alongside the previous value.
A markup over 100% is refused. Typing 10 where a decimal rate belongs would otherwise bill eleven times the base rate, so the field rejects it.
Nothing can break by leaving the setting alone. If the stored value is ever missing or unreadable, the system falls back to 10% / $95 / $30 / $15 rather than charging zero or blocking submissions.
What did not change: how clients pay. They still pre-fund a wallet and it is drawn down at submission. CampaignVerify still bills Politogy’s own account.
